New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children and Young Adults
Since 1997 the New Zealand Post has sponsored the Children''s Book Festival and Children''s Book Awards which previously had been sponsored by AIM. The Festival is a nationwide celebration of books for children and young adults and promoting the importance and enjoyment of books and reading. The Awards are presented annually to provide recognition and reward for authors and illustrators of high quality New Zealand books for children and young adults. In 2004 the Awards were renamed The New Zealand Post Book Awards for Children & Young Adults.
